Who is responsible

Waseem Nasir, trading as SkynetLabs, is responsible for the information described here (the “data controller” in UK/EU terms). Contact: waseem@skynetjoe.com.

Not yet specified: the registered trading entity (sole trader or limited company), company number if applicable, the country of establishment, and a postal or registered address. A privacy notice is normally expected to state these. Rather than invent them they are left open — ask by email and they will be confirmed to you directly.

What is collected, and when

Booking a call

Calls are booked through Calendly, which is embedded on the booking page at /book on this site. When you book, Calendly collects your name, email address, time zone and any answers you type into the booking questions, and passes them on so the meeting can happen. Calendly operates as a separate service under its own privacy terms.

Joining the email list

A small sign-up card may appear once per browser offering an occasional email about new builds, free workflows and services. If you fill it in, it collects your email address, optionally your first name and the topic you picked, plus the page you were on. The address is stored in our own operations dashboard (hq.skynetjoe.com, self-hosted on a server rented from Contabo in France) and passed to Brevo, the email service that sends the list emails. You will get a welcome email when you join, three more over the next two weeks, then only occasional emails. Brevo records whether these emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can see what is useful. The topic you pick decides which links the welcome email sends you; nothing else is tailored. Every list email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which stops all list emails immediately; our dashboard never emails you itself. Replying “stop” or writing to waseem@skynetjoe.com works too, and is handled by hand within 7 days. After you leave, a minimal “do not email” record is kept so you are not added back; ask us to delete everything and the sign-up record is erased from both our dashboard and Brevo. “Not right now” stores a 14-day snooze in your browser and nothing else.

Buying mentorship

If you buy a mentorship package, the information needed to deliver and bill for it is processed — typically your name, email address and payment confirmation. Where a package is bought through Fiverr, Fiverr handles the transaction and the payment under its own terms. Card details are never stored on this site.

Just browsing

This site does not run Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, or any advertising tracker. It does run one small, self-built funnel counter (added 1 September 2026): on each page load, and when you click a booking link or complete a booking, the browser sends the site name, the event name, the page path (without any query string), the referring website’s domain, the booking step, and (on a click) the address of the booking link you clicked to our own self-hosted n8n server. No cookies, no local storage, no user or device identifier, no fingerprinting; the counter stays silent if your browser sends a Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Like any web request, the receiving server sees your IP address in transit; it is not written to the events table. Only those fields are written to the events table, as aggregate counts that cannot be tied to a person. The counter itself stores nothing on your device. Two other things do: the Calendly embed on /book sets Calendly’s own cookies under Calendly’s terms when that page loads, and the homepage keeps a small flag in localStorage remembering that you dismissed its announcement bar. This site does not show a cookie banner of its own (Calendly may show its own consent prompt inside the booking widget); because Calendly’s cookies are set by a third party on /book, EU/UK visitors may be entitled to be asked first, and a consent gate for that page is under evaluation. Standard server logs are produced by the host as a normal part of serving a web page.

Why, and on what basis

• To hold a call you asked for, and to deliver mentorship you bought — necessary to perform what we have agreed.
• To reply to you — a legitimate interest in answering people who get in touch.
• To send the email list you joined — your consent, given when you submit the sign-up card. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. After you leave, the minimal “do not email” record is kept on the basis of a legitimate interest in not emailing you again.
• To keep records for tax and accounting — a legal obligation.

Your information is not sold, and it is not used to build advertising profiles. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.

Who else touches it

• Vercel — hosts this website and serves its pages, and runs the small server function that passes email-list sign-ups to our dashboard.
• Calendly — runs the call booking.
• Our own n8n server (self-hosted on a server rented from Contabo in France) — receives the anonymous funnel counts described above.
• Our own operations dashboard (hq.skynetjoe.com, self-hosted on the same server) — stores email-list sign-ups (email, optional first name, chosen topic, page).
• Brevo (EU, France) — email-sending service; receives the same email-list sign-up details (plus which site and form you joined from) from our dashboard, sends the welcome email, the welcome series and the list emails, and records opens and link clicks on them.
• Email and CRM — enquiries and client records are held in a mailbox and, for client work, a customer-relationship tool.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — clicking the WhatsApp button on this site opens WhatsApp, and anything you send there is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
• Fiverr — if you buy a mentorship package through Fiverr, it processes the order and payment.
• Payment processor for a package arranged directly — not yet specified. You will be told who takes the payment before any payment is taken.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK and EU, which means your information may be transferred internationally and protected by the transfer safeguards those providers publish.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept while there is a live conversation and then cleared. Client and mentorship records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and then for the period tax rules require. Email-list sign-ups are kept until you leave the list; after that only the minimal “do not email” record described above is kept, unless you ask for full deletion. Not yet specified: the exact retention period and the applicable tax jurisdiction.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask that it be sent to you in a portable format, or object to a particular use. Email waseem@skynetjoe.com and say what you want — you do not need to use any special wording, and there is no charge.

If you are in the UK or EU and you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If more analytics is switched on later

If measurement tools that use cookies or identifiers are added in future, non-essential cookies will not be set before you have agreed to them, a cookie notice will appear, and this page will be updated to name the tools and what they collect. The only measurement today is the cookieless funnel counter described under “Just browsing”.

Changes

If this notice changes, the “last updated” date at the top changes with it.
